    Lucid HD7?

Anyone messed with one of these? Stumbled on it today, had never heard of it, nor could I find much info. Looks nice.

And, I know, it's not an ACOG, I can get a used Aimpoint, you get what you pay for, it uses a AAA, battery life isn't 2.6 million hours and you can't explore the Marianas Trench with one. I just shoot paper.

Just looking for some people with hands on opinions.

http://quib.weaponevolution.com/HD7 Intro.png Part One: Introductory Review The Lucid HD7 arrived well packaged. Nestled within a foam insert within the box was the HD7 itself protected in a clear plastic bag which included a desiccant pack. The 2X magnifier was secured within a plastic bag as well, and given added protection with bubble wrap. Included with the optic and magnifier was the Operators Manual and a lens cloth. http://quib.weaponevolution.com/HD7 1.png

it looks like a mix of the Vortex Strikefire (the 2x screw in magnifier), and the Bushnell Trophy 1x32 red dot (acog look alike).

So jason, what are the specifics of this thing for durability testing, reticle sizes, and just general specs.

Just received mine this week, seems very durable, clear glass to the edges and the choices of reticles is a great feature. I was worried about the turrets, but they "click" into place and doesn't seem like they would easily move out of zero. So far I am impressed, heading to the range mon. to try it out.

So took mine out the other day, ran ~500 rounds through the carbine. Once I dialed it in, held zero all day. Reticles are sharp (I stuck with the dot). Very nice optic. It let me hit what I aimed at and didn't move. I'm happy!

Instead of making a new thread, I found this so I'm bringing it back from the dead. For those of you who have the Lucid HD7, does the 2x screw-in eyepiece come with the sight or do you have to buy it separately?

                          Thanks.

The 2x magnifier was sold as a combo in an introductory promotion. If the HD7 and the 2x magnifier is purchased from LUCID directly, they are separate items. There are a few of my DLRs that sell the HD7 and the 2x magnifier as combinations.

                            Thank You & Best Regards,
