Cheap but reliable mount and optics?

For a Saiga 7.62x39. Looking around I see a lot of options. What I want is a mount that quick detaches and optics that are reliable to 100yrds for this carbine. Don't want a cadillac, just a relaible VW will suffice

Can you make suggestions, link me?

I bought this rail used from a guy on arfcom for $15 or $20 delivered.

Worked fine for my red dot.... but if you are planning to scope it, I'm not sure about how the height will line up with your cheek weld (i.e.: the scope crosshairs height may be too high).

I can't help with the mount but for that rifle I think a $150 Weaver V3 1-3x20 would be a good choice. It's a darn good little scope.

Get a good Larue mount... any optic will benefit from it.

I don't know about the mount, but S.P.O.T. has quite a fallowing at ~$150, some guy over at arf.com did a multi-page write up where he beat the $#!+ out of it and it kept on ticking

Yeah, i'm thinking more along the lines of a red-dot type of optic. I will check these out when i get home tonight, thanks!

any links to a cheap but decent red dot?
