ACOG TA31RCO question?????

WOW, LOTS OF GREAT KNOWLEDGE ON THIS SITE. THIS IS WHY I'M SUCH A CG.N JUNKIE. THIS HAS REPLACED THE TIME I SPEND ON MYSPACE AND FACEBOOK. i have found for my own personal experiance that it's great to have an acog in a pouch in my tac-vest, while having a red dot sight, tagged with a 3x magnifier w/ the flip to the side mount. that set-up gives me a lot of versitility. and you can buy the red dot magnifier combo for less than an acog. and it helps if all 3 units have quick realese brackets for changing w/o tools while under duress. but i will say, you can do a great deal of damage to a target with a good set of iron sights.

for 25-100 yards red dot plus 3x fts mag. would work better

The proper methods to shoot with an ACOG that is is to be using both eyes open.

Even with a 4x mag? I thought "both eyes open" only applied to 1x dots such as the Eotech and Aimpoint.

I shoot my 4x acog with two eyes open. The design allows for that and it makes target acquisition very easy. No weird visuals with 1 eye being maged...
