AR-15 Scope Help

I just got a Nikon Monarch. It is the 2-8 x 32. It seems like the perfect scope for an AR. At 2X very good field of view and 8X is good for reaching out there. I have a flattop and used a riser and regular medium height rings that I had laying around. With a collapsible stock, my eyes line up perfect with a riser on it. Without a riser or super high rings you have to contort your neck to get your eye behind the scope.

So i think im going to purchase a Leupold Mark AR 3-9x40 with mil dot.

anyone have experience with this? from what I have read, it is nearly the same as a Mark 2 but a couple hundred less.

Look at the Accupoint variable and talk to Scott at Liberty optics. He has a great price on those and rings /mounts. I haven't purchased from him but will in the future. He was very helpful when I was looking awhile back.
