Mounting a eotech on a ar 15

Do I need a riser for mounting a eotech on an ar 15 with a a2 sight?????

Depends on which Eotech (some are taller than others) and whether you prefer absolute or lower third co-witness

that's the one with the built-in QD base, right? That should be raised already so it will give you a lower third co-witness. You should be fine as is -- your iron sights will line up in the lower third of the Eotech window, below the Eotech's reticle.
