LPVO setup with backup red dot sight

    Hello everyone,

I would like to setup LPVO(Eotech Vudu) on my new AR15 with a backup red dot sight.

I cannot decide on red dot sight. I would like to know if any regular pistol red dot sight will work as a backup sight in 45 degree offset or should I be looking for a specific type since this is AR15 platform?

The other option would be offset regular front and rear sights which I am not that much in favor of

Your advice will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

Yup. I have a Burris Fastfire on mine at 45 degree offset. A little advice if you haven't already bought the optic. There is no reason to spend 1200 on a LPVO for .223/5.56. Can buy the fastfire and a PA 1-8 with the awesome ACSS reticle and still have like 500 left over FYI.

I prefer a 12:00 mount and as gear as a RDS a RMR would be my first choice, but a Holosun will do fine. There are a few direct RMR ring mounts or you can just get a picatinny ring and a RMR to picatinny adapter plate.
