    Romeo5 height with low mount

I am looking for a spec on the height of the Romeo 5 optical axis (centerline) with the low mount above the rail. The manual only gives the height with the high-mount (1.41) inches. I have searched extensively and no one seems to post this rather important dimension.

I want to see how it would line up with the stock sights on my Hi-Point 4595.

Manufacturers are all over the place with their different height sights as there is no standard absolute or 1/3 cowhitness. If you're looking for the absolute to exactly line up with your iron sights it may not be exact.
    Can DI AR's run dirty?

yes, I understand that but without a spec for one red dot or another, I can't tell how it would line up. The R5 seems popular and resonably priced but as of now, I'd have to buy to see where it lines up.

I am just asking if someone that has one can measure the actual height or maybe someone has found where that number is posted. I have not been able to find it.

I looked at Sigs web site for the Romeo 5 and it states the optical height for a "absolute co-whitness" is 1.41" as also stated in your post. A 1/3rd co-whitness is generally around 1.70"

IIRC Sig only offered 2 height mounts absolute and lower 1/3 generally for the AR platform. If you want to mount it as low as possible on a picatinny rail you need to find the specific mount and hope someone has that exact combination. Aimpoint, Primary Arms, am I'm sure a few others well a rail height mount.

That's with the high riser and I saw the same thing. They just don't give the spec without the riser. I guess if the rise has a spec, one could subtract that.

My sight line is something close to .882 above the rail.

            height of riser alone

Would someone with a Romeo 5 PLEASE measure the the height of the high riser without the optic. Top of mounting rail to top of riser.

              0.743"

From the bottom of riser where it meets the rail to mounting surface of the optic.
