Would you buy one and for what price?

I saw this video a while ago about rapid scope zooming but I forgot to post it until now.

I don't know that I'd run out and buy one but maybe if I was a top tier, mall-ninja, visible abs kind of guy some government would buy one for me.

I don't understand why competition scopes don't have only 2 settings - min magnification and max magnification.

Those are the only 2 settings most competitors use, so why have the whole range available that just takes a whole bunch of extra time to twist through?

It should be a simple short-throw quick-twist to click it from min to max or max to min.

The product shown in the video is neat, but adds weight and complexity. When you bring it in, you'd also have to release your support hand to extend it to the end of the handguard again to continue shooting (using proper competition form - which is support hand extended to reduce recoil and speed up transitions).
