Looking for recommendations 1x red dot.

I’m looking to reconfigure a 14.5 carbine, going light with it. I’ve been running a 1-4 LPVO on it for years, but recently put a 1-6 on a different 16” carbine.

Leaning towards a micro RD, been checking out the larger glass 25s made by Trijicon and Primary Arms think Bushnell makes one too. Like that they are smaller then a full size RD but has a larger field of view seems like a good compromise.

Haven’t been glass shopping for awhile, so not up on all the latest trends and new stuff. Let me know what I should be checking out, budget is flexible. Open to everything from budget buys on up.

I like the vortex crossfire II rds. Have one on an AR pistol and it's light and works great. Usually can be had for like $120.

        Red dots I currently have.

Full size Vortex on a 16” AR
        Vortex SPARC on a AK
Old Classic series micro PA on a 9mm carbine.
        Sig Romero 5 on a H&K MP22
Cheap $60 no name micro on a M&P 15/22(it’s surprisingly good)

Guess I’m looking for something a little different but staying in the micro category. Those micros with the bigger 25mm glass look interesting, I’m also a fan of the wheel for brightness settings over the push buttons. But do really like shake awake and auto sleep. The new prism 1x look great too, they are always on and work without batteries. So many good choices now.

Holosun AEMS or AEMS Core. I love my AEMS green on my 14.5”.

T-2. EXPS3-0 is still pretty king under nods though.

Aimpoint T2 with KAC skyscraper mount. Makes use of NODS very easy. POI/POA also altered extending significantly the performance envelope with a 50yard zero.

I've been using Aimpoint T2s for years, but moving to PA 3x prism scopes as my eyes are getting old.

Thanks for all the great recommendations, that AEMS was really tempting. In the end I went with the Primary Arms SLX MD25, with the 2 MOA dot, wanted to try the slightly bigger glass and still not 100% sure what I want to run on it and this didn’t break the bank.

Zero’d it this morning just a 25/300 zero for now and put 100 rounds through it. So far so good, nice clear glass for the price point. A setting of 7 on the brightness was more than good for bright sunlight. Has 11 brightness settings and two NV, shake awake and auto off. Was a little surprised how off it was when I zero’d it, way right. But still only took about 4 rounds to dial her in. Gonna run it awhile and see how I like it.

Botach has the Sousa "RAID" red dot with a 30mm objective and 40,000 hour battery life, dot or circle dot reticle, low and high mount on sale for $59.98

I've had one on a AK pistol since last December. No issues and it's larger objective is far and away better than the TRS-25, (which I also have). The TRS-26 is 25mm (which I also have)

I just ordered two more of these a few days ago.

Looks like a nice budget optic, not sure that I really care for the exposed adjustment screws. Don?t think I?ve ever seen that on an optic before. The large mounting bolt would be a knuckle buster with my side charging AR, fine on an AK or regular AR though.
