Trijicon RMR RM06 Type 2 Sight Changed Brightness While Shooting

I brought my Custom Glock 17 to the range today to sight in the recently installed Trijicon RMR RM06 Type 2 red dot sight. The first couple mags that I used to dial it in I was focused on getting it sighted in. But later in the day after troubleshooting some other custom guns I decided to do a final check on this gun and make certain it was indeed sighted in. During that round of shooting I noticed it changed brightness on me while shooting. Went from medium, to full, to fairly dull. The zero did not shift. Just the brightness settings.

I did not have enough ammo left to see it would continue doing so the more I shot. I only had two 10 round mags left. It did this on these last two mags for sure. Not sure about the ones before.

Is this just a case of it settling in? I will of course shoot it some more before completely stressing out and getting Trijicon involved. It's just something I noticed and thought I would mention.

Did get it sighted in. Here's the final confirmation target with 20 rounds fired at 15 yards.

Not too bad for having taken a year off.

What brand of battery are you using? Some have reported contact issues with vertain brands. Sony CR2032 are a bit thicker. Some of the fixes for both type 1/2 are use. Sony batteries, bend the tab type 1, use a sealing plate, use a piece of a foam ear plug/dab of hot glue/silicone under the battery.

Sounds like the auto brightness is on.

If this is the case, to change it to manual mode, press both the + and - at the same time and release.

        That makes sense.
