    Help me identify this aimpoint

    Hello,

I bought this used and painted aimpoint but not sure the model. Is it a comp m2 or pro. The mount seems older than what ive seen on my pro.

Also the mount has 1 screw thats too short and a flathead not the torx. Can i user regular hex or torx screws or do they need to be from aimpoint?

Its beat up but i got it cheap. So just want to fix mount.

Side note i got a DD Aimpoint micro mount if anyone wants to trade.

    Pics attached.

I can't find serial # becus of paint. It seems to have 2 NV settings. As i cant see dot with bare eyes last 3 clicks. 1 click being off i assume.

If it’s a real Aimpoint it should be an M2, although primary arms made a basically identical red dot as well, I believe it’s called the slx advanced.

I saw the aimpoint logo on bottom side but that part wasn't painted. Part of optic was painted while mounted i think. I looked up how to fund fake and it seems to be real aimpoint.

It feels solid and looks like my old comp m. Meaning glass and dot and weight etc.

I'm uncertain.. presence of NV settings would tend to make me think it's genuine. I'd remove it from the mount to look for numbers.

The mounts from LaRue and ADM are good and return to zero better than others if the need arises to remove it.

Looks like an old Comp M/M2 aimpoint which are very rugged sight with an original Aimpoint QRP 30MM 1/3 co whitness mount. If you removed the 1/2 moon spacer it will be absolute height mount. IMHO keep it as is for nostalgic value. It's a 4MOA dot, the lower setting are NV, and it takes a 1/3N type battery. IIRC the CompM/M2 have a 10K hours battery life on a daylight setting. Newer Comps/Pros have @ 50K from the same battery.

Thankyou guys. Yes i put new battery in it. I dont mind the 4moa. Its a red dot not lpvo.

I got it for my sons AR so he had something durable. And yes it does have that half moon spacer. I wanted to mount without the spacer so its absolute but the scews are too long.
