No. Eotech is pretty well established, but this is their first mini that is sized properly for handguns.

I like the fact that you don't have to remove the sight to change the battery. As their first mini, it does seem on the larger side though.

Surprised it isn't enclosed like their typical products.

Hmmm. I hope it survives the drop test.

One positive they tout is the clear glass and no use of coatings and tints...That is nice provided you get get weird glare or a weird reflection like you get on the holosun red dot.

One negative, to me, is the mounting which is the Leupold Delta Point style. Sorry, I got rmr style mounts on everything.

I bet you they did that on purpose to get on a recently adopted pistol.

Next time you go to the range, notice how many are still iron sights. Big market still.

Its their loss. I probably would have tried their red dot at some point if it had RMR style mounting. I most def ain't gonna go out of my way to get a slide cut in Leupold style. I have never even had a slide cut done, just went out and bought aftermarket slides. I see grey ghost has a dual RMR/leupold cut slide for a G19.

They don't care about you. They are probably eying half a million M17 pistols ordered. If they get in on the optics contract, it's cha-ching. Government contracts are way easier to deal with than the general public.

True enough. The GI's need all the help they can get.

Still though, they are bothering to roll out to the general public. They probably do want to do well, at least some of their folks are incentivized to sell this thing. You would think they roll out with a more widely used mounting system. Competition is good.

Eotech had the MRDS way back in the day.
