Trijicon Accuracy-Siting Help Needed

Need a gunsmith or other expert who can test/fix the problem.

Bought a Trijicon RMR cc for my Springfield EMP-3 9mm from a company that does milling.

The elevation was below target so I returned it for re-milling.

Trijicon replaced the site.

The rounds still hit below the target even at maximum setting.

The laser bore site was also below the target.

No point to send it back so need to find someone in CA to fix it.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

What caliber and distance are you zeroing at? For 9mm I use 10/50 yard zero

testing 9mm from 30 feet

i paid for the machining so i did not have to use the shims.

really seeking an expert to test the Trijicon site on the slide

--maybe my eyes are the problem

the horizontal lines up but the vertical is 6 inches too low

tested at the range and with a bore sight

Wait a minute...you sent your gun in for milling and you bought an RMR as well from this outfit. The RMR and milling was wrong..you sent the gun back for remilling and even got Trijicon to replace the RMR (even though they are not at fault for anything and it was not defective)? So basically, you have a permanently destroyed slide lol. Why are these guys not responsible for getting you a new slide at the very least?

You should name who this outfit is, so no other cal gunners or shooters send their slides for work there. They destroyed your gun.

Lessons for all: 1)go with a reputable outfit. Don't cheap out or tolerate short cuts 2) Maybe preserve your stock slide and get an aftermarket or replacement slide to be the "donor" slide for milling. I realize that your EMP is not a glock, so just ordering up a replacement slide might not be a possibility.

They destroyed your $1K+ gun. Sighting in an RMR is not rocket science. it either works or it doesn't. Are they even offering to remedy the situation?

Are you shooting the gun off a bench?

Are you sure you have the elevation screws adjusted in the correct direction? Clamp the slide in a vise, watch the dot, then turn the elevation screw from one end to the other and verify it moves the full travel. At 30 feet, the dot should cover 15.7 inches from end extreme to the other. At 10 feet, 5.23 inches total travel.

If you answered yes to both of the above, call the company that did the milling.

What distance are your shooting at? Please also post a picture of your pistol from the side showing the profile of the milling, optic on and off.
