As you spend more, you'll see how much closer you can get to 1X LPVO vs the Leupold 1.5x. There's a big difference.

I have the Eotech 553 and G33 magnifier and it's really easy to pick up the reticle. My only complaint is probably the short eye relief of the G33 magnifier. If I were you, go for the G53 magnifier. Slightly longer eye relief, more magnification.

I am debating this as well. Looking at the G45 5X. I've heard so many great things about it.

Also FYI, the Eotech G30 was made in China. Pretty sure the flip mount is made in China as well since its shared on other magnifiers like the Trijicon MRO magnifier:

            I just saw this.

Here's my Aimpoint backed up by my Eotech 3X mag, on one of my Vepr 12's I run w/slugs so I can place them on the money 100 yards out. The mag of course swings out of the way for close in.

The Aimpoint w/this mount came from LaRue.

I've adjusted the mag to center the Aimpoints red dot through the mag, and it works perfect.

I swap my aim point 3x to both the eotech and t1 with no issues. Using a Unity ftc mount.

First time I've seen a magnifier setup on a shotgun.

Before my surgical implants, my vision was getting pretty bad, having said that I'm not going to give up my right to defend myself w/my shotguns.

My future as told me by the Stein Institute was pretty grim. Worsening cataracts resulting in first a night restriction on my DL, then no license at all, along w/glaucoma killing the nerve cells of my optic nerve.

No DL, no guns, and no cameras, which means everything I enjoy doing in life, then a slow fade to BLACK and A RED CANE, so I went into fight mode.

Surgical implants replaced the cataracts, stints (small relief valves to drain excess pressure) on the side of each eye returned the pressure in my eyeballs back to normal. As long as I eat right, get plenty of sleep, my vision isn't going to worsen.

You won't see me on sitting on the couch, eating chili cheese dogs and guzzling Jack Daniels, because I prefer decent eyesight to junk food and booze and it's gonna stay that way.

Regardless of why other folks will or won't put these on a shotgun, these legitimately aided me in putting a slug on the money up 100 yds. out. which is definitely a possibility via the expanse behind my house.

My eyesight being what it was, it wasn't a matter of me wanting these, I needed these.

After the surgeries, I'm a 73 yr. old w/the eyesight of a 30 yr. old, but I'm still responsible for what comes out of this weapon/whoever it hits, and here in town we got half a dozen young mothers around here walking their babies in a stroller at any particular time, and since I won't be able to pick when anybody around here decides to commit a crime, this is now insurance that I'm going to hit what I'm shooting at.

A slightly cheaper alternative to the eotech g33 magnifier is the Trijicon 3x. I did some research and found that it uses Japanese glass and, quite possibly, the same flip-to-side mount.
