Funny thing though is that the optics that I had fail on me where the Trijicon SRO where zero shifted after 2K rounds and the DeltaPoint Micro which broke in less than 10-rounds.

My Vortex and Holosuns are still running strong... Swampfox Liberty - will still have to see...

Nothing is perfect, doesn't mean I'm going with something inferior.

You would think these optics would be fairly stout since there are not really any internal parts that move around... fairly solid state. The critical thing is that the pistol sights ride on a reciprocating slide in typical installations. Apparently this will shake any sub par pcb, solder, loose circuits to the point of failure. Also, there is the issue of sights being water-tight. Trijicon is definitely not immune to any of that. Aimpoint does seem to be though. I'm sure the manufacturers learn from each revision and make repairs and redesigns, no doubt. There has to be a balance between price and QA/QC - we talk about it all the time here with guns and optics.

This is also why I believe higher quality imports like Holosun have come up with much better "Military Grade" or "Platinum" lines nowadays to make up production costs. At some point the cost of the decent quality CHINA stuff is close enough to a really good NON-CHINESE optic that I'd buy something SWEDISH, JAPANESE, OR AMERICAN.

Small samplings are just that, but they do leave a bad impression for the person that had to send that brand's fragile or defective product in for replacement or repair.

For sure. And that's where reviewers like Mike Foster (GunsnGear), who unintentionally beat the crap out of optics (and flashlights) to point out such failures- raising the game of the manufacturers. We all win- manufacturers and users.

I just ordered a 508t the other day. Amazon was blocking it. Their loss I immediately went to Eurooptic. Ironically I was trying to buy it on Amazon with Eurooptic as the vendor. Oh well. At least Eurooptic got the business straight up

I wonder if any Youtube reviewers pay for their own test and evaluation product and order blind (so the company has no idea they are sending product to a reviewer). If QC is where they save money, it is pretty simple for them to QC the crap out of all test and eval units. You really think they don't do that?
