Holosun optics- restricted by Amazon

I noticed the 407 series will ship to California addresses, but the new 507 series will not. It is inhibited by Amazon by shipping address, but I don't know if that's Amazon's or Holoson's doing- having them not ship to their own state. Ideas?

I encountered the same issue last week when trying to order a 507C X2. Ended up ordering it from a different online vendor and it arrived today.

Yes, unfortunately it’s the same with almost all the products like ours. In California, night vision devices that are designed to attach to weapons are considered illegal.

And because we, like other red dots, advertise “night visions compatible” settings, Amazon takes that as having night vision capability and so they restrict them in CA, even though our office is here, and a large amount of different dealers.

More nonsense from CA. NV devices designed to attach to weapons are NOT illegal in CA, only a very specific and limited type of NV weapon optics fall under the prohibited category. As always, more CA FUD and spineless companies like Amazon comply far too easily and willingly.

Oddly, the 407 will ship, but not the 507c. My guess it got labeled "night vision".
