For 300 look at the SWFA SS fixed power scopes. They track dead on and are very robustly over built.

Very true I have a fixed 10 power SWFA that is robust enough for a 308

The discontinued Nikon monarch scopes have amazing clarity and no recoil concerns with a .22

I have a Nikon pro staff four through 1440 mm that is pretty darn clear for a $200 scope

10 power SWFA also very clear fixed power

I use in a COG because that is the only illuminated reticle that I can see in the desert daylight with my bad eyes for power gets it done

I had a hard time seeing the reticle on myOne through six strike eagle from Fourtex so I sold that one
