The Vortex PST II will do well for the price. I'm still running the 3-15X on one of my rifles. -
Razor 5-20 might be doable for that budget.Link to my feedback: https://www.calguns.net/forum/market...ser-tradecraftComment

I just scored a Burris XTRii 5-25 at optics planet yesterday for 699.00. Year end clearance sale on an unpopular finish pattern. BUT, it will go perfect on my new Ruger M77 Hawkeye Long Range Target rifle in 6.5PRC. Take a look and se if they are still on sale. Or maybe one of the others you have looked at? B.Comment

I’ve kind of settled on this scope:
Vortex Viper PST Gen II 5-25x50 EBR-7C MRAD FFP
FFP seems to be what people like now even on Long ranges. Not having experience with this, and trying to ease my way into precision long range, FFP works ok on closer shots or does it get too small to use?Comment

That's what I have. There is a NIB one on calguns for 800 iirc. the illuminated EBR is a bit more visible than something like the H59, so it should still be usable even at 5xI’ve kind of settled on this scope:

ffp is popular because if you have a tree reticle you don't have to dial and you can just hold over or hold for wind at any magnification.Comment

The Vortex Viper PST gen 2 is good. I'm using one on my rifleBrowning Buck Mark Practical URX

Here you go. Bushnell Elite Tactical new for $800. Smoking deal on an incredible scope.Comment

The Bushnell LRS 6-24x50 Tac Optics is worth considering....
6-24
30mm main tube
FFP
illuminated mildot reticle
Mil/Mil
Made in Japan
$477
I have two of them and I think they are a steal at this price.
What you give up at this price point is the "10 mils per revolution" elevation adjustment (this is 6 mils per revolution) and there is no zero stop....a fool and his money were lucky to get together in the first place...Comment
