    thanks M76.
Surprise I couldn't five any video reviews on the Crimson CTS 25.
Would like to she how it compares to the TRS 25.

    Bohoki,
Thanks for the reminder. Will be careful with mounting process.

Upgraded iron sights are a great way to make the most out of your 10/22. I have Tech Sights on mine and love plinking away with it. These high-quality sights will be much more reliable than a cheap red dot or scope. https://www.tech-sights.com/ruger-products/

If you can save up a little more, I'd recommend checking out this Bushnell Prime 1-4x. It's marketed in Europe as an affordable hunting optic, so it has a simple G4 duplex reticle with an illuminated red dot in the center. I put on on my wife's AR15 and it's far better than I expected a sub $200 optic to be. It has illumination for when you need it, it's close to red dot fast at 1x, and 4x on the top end gives you a little more confidence at range - which should be perfect for a 10/22. It's made in Korea, so it's a good step above the cheap Chinesium junk, but still not as expensive as the optics made in the Philippines & Japan.

If like a scope when shooting for groups from a bench or prone.
I like RD for everything else. Get something that fits your shooting style.

          budget preferred under 50
Oh... well never mind then. Keep your iron sights and buy an extra box of ammo.

Edit: I highly recommend an adjustable objective scope for shooting rimfire under 100 yards. I have a Nikon Prostaff Target EFR 3-9x AO but it's out of your budget. Most fixed parallax scopes are set at 100-150 yards and you will never get proper focus at closer distances with full zoom.

The CTS 25 is more durable than the TRS 25 IMHO

              A little background.
I am trying to set up my 2nd ruger 10/22 for my kids who are 9, 7 and 5.

I already have a Nikon scope P-RimFIre on one of my 10/22.

Did a little more research and now leaning towards the vortex crossfire.
Cant decide if I want the 2-7x32 or the 3-9x40
Well thinking of the 3-9x40 (since the Nikon is already 2-7x32) (just to get something different)
Also if i should consider the BDC versus the v-brite version which basically has a illuminated red dot in the crosshair.
