Yeah, like 9mmContagion said, go directly to SwampfoxOptics.com and order there. You'll be able to put in your coupon code during the checkout process. Click on edit cart and there will be a link to add coupon code.

Unfortunately, non-Chinese optics are a bit out of reach, financially, for many people these days.

I've been looking at their scopes as well, they look pretty solid quality. I'm seriously looking at purchasing one of their products. I'm building a new AR15 - 16" barrel, WC 300 Ham'r caliber, which will be used for hunting hogs and possibly home defense. Most likely for hunting in the 10-100 yard range. I've been looking at LPVO (like 1-8 range) and also Swampfox's 1x and 3x prism scopes.

I'm getting older (52) and eyes are NOT as good as they used to be. I do wear glasses only for reading. Here's my problem I'm having... ALOT of these scopes today, not just Swampfox, but alot of other brands seem to make the reticles so small. Especially in the 1x, 3x, 5x, fixed magnifications. They usually have some type of BDC - which the reticles are so small I cant really see the BDC's

I'm at a loss when the reticles are so small (remember, I'm NOT talking about a variable optic, just fixed low powered optics) WHY NOT MAKE THEM LARGER? I'm sure there's an explanation for this, but I can't understand. Maybe just for younger eyes??? Just a side note, I know this reticle is used for close quarters and has been shot out to 200+ yards, which is a possibility that I'd want to have. This reticle is a perfect example.

How big do you need it?

Those circle dot reticles are designed so you can 'bracket' the target at close range and press and repeat.

I understand what you're saying. But can you honestly say you can see the different BDC points from this reticle? I CANT at all.

YES, Im talking about the small BDC marks for 5,10,15 yards, etc..... I CANT see any of these separate marks. Why not make the reticle larger for easier target acquisition? Like a Eotech? The Eotech reticle is much larger. Its a fixed 1x, so you can't just dial up more power for the reticle to get larger.

For those that have it, how is the scope on max power?

I think the 1x6 would be the max I would want

                          Here is why

The BDC is based on max power

With a skinny scope body (24mm lens)you are not getting much light through the optic

Most of the time I would use 2x so it would be off by 66% for drop.

                          2/6

With the 10 power using the scope at 2x would make it off by 80%
                          2/10= 20% values

Can you see much field of view at 8x or 10x with a skinny scope tube?

Why would you use 2x magnification to engage a 400 yard target when you can use 6x or 8x

                              Exactly.
BDC marks won't be used until your Target is at 300 yds. or more.
I personally want at least 8x at, and beyond, that distance.

Since this post started some time ago, I guess most of you had enough experience with the Arrowhead.

I'm considering a back up LPVO for my hunting AR10.

What do you say, 1-8 or 1-10?

I am reluctant to go with 1-10 because at that point, where the reticle will be true, eye box won't be too stable and light gathering won't be 100% preferable. Rather loose extra 2x than screw up the aiming.
