Looking at optics again

Not new, but I haven’t been paying attention to anything optics in the past 3-4 years… just looking though the forum I am seeing a lot of new things.

I was most familiar with the offerings from Vortex and SWFA. Visiting Vortex it looks like much has changed.

Are there any other new brands that have entered the market worth researching that have the quality / value of the SWFA HD or Vortex PST/Razor line of optics?

Well ive bought 2 Athlon scopes last year, both have been good. No issues that I have seen. Searched youtube for reviews before I bought them and they seemed like a good scope for the money.

I have a SWFA 10X and a 3X9 HD both have great glass. I recently wanted a 1X6 and looked at the strike Eagle, SWFA HD, PST, PA ACSS, and Burris RT6. All had a lifetime warranty. For the money, glass, features, and durability the Burris RT6 was the best.

Take a look at Tract Optics. A hunter recommended it to me, so I purchased a 308 hunting scope and it is absolutely clear with great light gathering at dawn. They are a new US owned company that uses Schott glass and builds them at a Japanese shop. They have a lifetime warranty/guarantee as well, but have a limited selection of options. They don’t really do the Tacticool stuff like a Christmas tree reticles or 34mm tubes, and seem to focus on target and hunting scopes.

I have tract binocs and They are the F...ing bomb!
Their entry level scopes don’t do it for me.
When you call tract you are dealing with John, the owner of the company and he is a pleasure to work with .
I just got a Nikon M tactical on clearance as Nikon is getting out of scope business... some smoking deals

I'm not that familiar with them, but Riton is also fairly new on the scene.
