I have a mild astigmatism and my trs-25 looks like a sunburst while my 3 holosun hs510s are okay. While the rds is good for me out to 100 I prefer a fixed 4x prism beyond 100.

That's exactly how it went for me, had a Eotech and loved it except my astigmatism made it look like a blazing sun sometimes, was stubborn and kept using it for awhile, bought Aimpoint magnifier and it helped, but eventually went Acog and never looked back.Originally posted by gwgn02G-shock, a good way to tell the time, and better way to tell the female variety you are unworthy mating material.Comment

Scopes have a tight eye relief, dots don't. Never had an Eotech, but have looked through one, really liked it.Comment

I use Cmore on both of my AR 15 competition rifles, 9mm and 5.56, both 6 moa dots. Last time I went out, the dot on the 9mm was slightly out of shape but not enough to hurt anything. I didn't try the other one to determine whether it is my eyes or the dot. My vision is a step better than 20/20 with glasses but I still notice it isn't perfect. The dot is always clear and never blown out or looking like the sun, as others have described.
Accuracy/consistency is no problem for reasonable targets. 6-8" plates are common at 100 yards and torso size targets at 200 yards, with small targets (A zone eye shot on IPSC cardboard) up close. Red dots aren't the right sight for precision shooting/tiny groups.
Both my parents run Cmore dots on their pistols and I think my mom also has astigmatism. They work well for them and we haven't had any quality issues with the 4 that we have. If I remember correctly, they were built to ride on top of a slide and hold up (we have the original, larger, style as opposed to the new smaller cmore) but their guns have mounts above the slides.Last edited by CGT80; 12-11-2019, 10:04 PM.He who dies with the most tools/toys wins
