red dot/reflex sight for astigmatism ?

for folks that have astigmatism which red/ holographic sight has worked ?

I am in the market for red dot/holographic sight, looking for high quality, I have heard Holosun 510C works well, my problem is its made in China, what else is out there. Thanks
sigpic I said I didn"t have much use for one, didn"t say I didn"t know how to use it. MATTHEW QUIGLEY

Check out the Vortex Spitfire. It's not a red dot, but actually etched on the glass. Only one that really works for me (and I've got bad astigmatism!!)

You can also take a look at the Primary Arms Cyclops 1x prism scope. I have the same issue with astigmatism and the Cyclops is proving exceptional. Etched illuminated reticle, small footprint, wider field of view than an RDS, and a dioptre so you can dial in the focus for your eye. Tough as nails as well. Worth a look for sure: https://www.primaryarms.com/pa-1x-co...-reticle-black

I second the PA 1x cyclops. I have astigmatism and red dots are harder for me to shoot accurately at longer ranges. I also notice I take more time too acquire my target and shoot because I am squinting or refocusing on my target to make the dot clearer before I shoot. I ended up with 1x variable scopes to help with my accuracy. I like how clear prism scopes are, but didn’t like the fact that they are just as heavy and the reticles not as nice as 1x scopes....until I got the 1x cyclops. The eye relief is large, the reticle is well designed, and it is surprisingly easy to see through for a 20mm objective.

          2moa dot. Singular.

SMALLER the single dot, the better.

          I use all Aimpoints, personally.

I just went to the optometrist and told him my red dot was fuzzy because of astigmatism in my right eye. ( Dot is perfect in my left). It can be corrected with lenses is what I have read. I'll know when I pick up my new prescription. You may just want to get corrective lenses.

Slight astigmatism here and have used several 1x optics from the t1, t2’s, eotech exps3 (latest models), Trijicon Mro, etc. I can tell you my eyes like the t1 the worst while the t2 is def better out of these. Certainly like the aimpoints primarily (as a RDS vs holo’s, prism’s, etc) but I can see the 1moa holographic reticle in the exps much more clear and am overall faster as well for target acquisition. Etched reticles are good option and getting your eyes checked is a must (something I need to do soon). Heard prism sights are great but never tried and am interested. Corrective options may be available. Really like ACOGs too. Just another opinion here, take it for what it’s worth...!

Triangle reticle helped me for my astigmatism- specifically meprolite m21 with triangle reticle... I found the sharp point of the triangle gives me something to focus on. I can ignore the other blurry parts.
It was suggested to me, made sense, tried it, it worked! Good luck!

I really like my Meprolight Tau-Dot RDS. The dot is very clear and is large when at the highest setting. They are made in Israel and a similar model is used by the IDF.

I am leaning towards Meprolight RDS, which I did not know existed, // thanks Bart1015// it looks more promising , I have got glasses for my astigmatism, I dont wear them all the time, specially when I am at home.

I heard holographic sights work better for astigmatism because it uses a laser as opposed to red dots which use LEDs. That being said, you're going to have to try a bunch of them because everybody's eye are shaped differently.

I had an Eotech, which drove my astigmatism crazy. Added the 3x magnifier and it made a world of difference. Sold both and bought a Trijicon 4X and never looked back.
