This is an issue?? I have two of these and they are super bright. Never had an issue but I have forgotten to turn one of them off and the next day it was dead. Bought a bulk pack of batteries on amazon for a few bucks.

Both of mine work fine day or night. Bought them 3 years ago if that matters any.

        WTB used AK MFER.

I've had several red dots that seemed plenty bright indoors, but got really washed out on a bright day outdoors. This is why I switched over to CQB scopes (1-4, 6, and 8X) with etched reticles. I prefer the circle-dot and horizon/chevron type reticle, but I have a Bushnell Banner 1-4X scope with a "circle-X" reticle on it that works well also.

Make sure to turn it up to 11
God may have made men, but Samuel Colt made them equal.

Send me pics of your: Colt Detective Special, AMT Hardballer, pre-64 Winchester Model 70. I'm looking for them.

Hey guys, with all due respect, he stated he can't send it back as it was purchased thru an auction and he has no receipt. He also stated he had it at the 11 setting and it was still washed out.

I was thinking of getting this one, but it seems to be a hit and miss thing. The lesson learned is if you are going to buy it, it needs to be from a place that you can return it to if you have a problem with it.

I have 3 of them, all seem to work fine even in the summer-time desert romps where it's whitewash bright. I even took my 5 year old out on his birthday weekend to shoot for the first time, he was blasting a 10/22 with a TRS25... was hitting a 6"x10" sq plate at 30 yards with ease.

Maybe some of you got knock-offs. Wait, the original is chinese, what's a crappier country than that to get it built in?

I have one on a Sig MPX that I shoot competition with. No problem seeing the dot, although I do turn it up to nearly the top setting. My son has one on his AR and has no problem seeing it when shooting outdoors in the daylight.

I have 3 TRS-25 red dots, they work great outside and indoors.
I have my setting at 6 for outdoors, nice bright dot.
