I got a LOW scope with bleed-through and sent it back. Got the same model back with no problems. It's totally up to you whether or not you want to fight for this, but I think for anything over $500 street price (I know, I know, that's low for the glass world), you shouldn't let them get away with it. Tough consumers whip companies into proper form. Complacent customers let manufacturers run amok.
