Are you planning on using a magnifier with the sight eventually? Otherwise, I still don't understand the need/desire for a 1 MOA red dot.

Any reason to not like the Eotech?

With the Eotech, you can use the center dot for semi-precision, you don't use it for CQB.....that's what the 65 MOA circle is for.

I think it's a great system personally, and can get decently precise with the 1 MOA center dot.

eo tech is a little too high for what im gonna mount it on and would require a cheek riser

If ur going to throw a magnifier on it at any point in time you are better off with a good low power variable.

The second you throw a magnifier in the mix you have all the negatives of running a magnified optics with eye relief, and give up all the goodies of a RDS like parallax forgiveness in a nice package that never seems to align well.

I'm only saying this as someone who has been there and done that.

I have RDS units still, but I refuse to run a magnifier on it.

Jpoint has a circle dot version that I believe has a 1 MOA center dot.

Those are the only options I am aware of at this time.

Trijicon RMR 1.0 MOA is the main game in town

Haven't played with SHIELD sights besides at SHOT so I know they have 1MOA but not much experience with it.

I have the Jpoint Circle Dot and it is also 1MOA center but auto brightness only, which becomes irritating for me at times

So any customer looking for 1 MOA red dot I usually recommend RMR

Maybe Burris or Vortex will come through with one sooner or later
