my burris scope and rifle
Heres my burris I recieved from cabelas today. The glass is awesome it was worth the wait. No recticle canting it was good and level (I also took the scope to a gunsmith to verify it as well). the construction and paint was very good. No scratches during shipping. the elevation and windage dails were tight and secured. the red/green lighting dail is of good quality with precise clicks. tried it during the nightime. the lowest setting on green is just a hair too bright but I wear glasses so I might need it lol. The red at lowest is very nice. whomever purchased this scope is going to be very pleased with it. For 300 bucks its darn good.
Those were the PRO`S of the scope.
Now for the CON`S:
There`s only one thing I didn`t like about this scope. Which is the SCOPE MOUNT. It looks cheap. This is where they cut the cost. To some it may not bother them, but to me, I`m changing the mount A.S.A.P. This weekend I`m going to coldwar shooters and link it up with an A.R.M.S. acog QD mount and see it if links up. By what I see it should. If it does I`ll order a larue acog QD mount. For the total price of the scope and mount its still a very good deal.

PLEASE keep us updated if it fits into standard ACOG mounts. I'd love a QD mount.I`m changing the mount A.S.A.P. UPDATE ON BURRIS QUICK DETACH MOUNT........I went to a gunsmith this morning and he had a stock trijicon acog mount sitting in his shop. I asked him if he could mount it on my scope to see if it links up with the burris scope. Guess what?????? it linked up PERFECTLY!!!!!!!!!!
That means if you want a larue, A.R.M.S., american defense manufacturing or GG and G acog quick detachable mount, It will work. BTW......he sold me the stock acog mount in his shop for 40 bucks brand new to hold me over a until my larue QD mount arrives and I threw the original one in the trash. joe

With this optic mounted up on an AR with an A2 length stock, is there room for a small flip up BUIS behind the optic, while still getting a decent ergonomic setup? I shoot NTCH so I would think there is room to move the scope forward, but I wanted to make sure.

Same problem with no room for back up sights
I had to mount mine on the last possible notch to get right eye relief. They are just not a long eye relief. Also noticed on box the advertisement picture showed a law enforcement dude with no back up sights and his mounted all the way back? No big. I am noticing more and more scopes without back-up sights. When optics are mounted. After all I have 3 more standing close by if I have a problem.

Do you shoot NTCH, or initiate a cheek weld a little further back?I had to mount mine on the last possible notch to get right eye relief. They are just not a long eye relief.
