    US Optics vs Nightforce

So I'm in the market for something new. I'm looking at the Nightforce atacr f1 line against US Optics in the 4-16, 3.5-17 or 5-25 range. Anyone have an opinion on glass? I have also heard us optics has a tunneling issue at lower magnifications? Let me know if y'all have experience with these two optics.

No thanks, I'm cool off vortex. I owned one of their scopes and sold it right away on account of their super crappy service. I won't go into details but when I got an already brand new broken scope back from them and it was in worse condition than when I sent it I decided it's time to go with a Mir reputable company.

I really like both Nightforce and us optics but I heard us optics had tunneling issues...

I also just decided on a scope... I didn't consider US Optics until a few days ago, but when it's all said and done I REALLY like the reticle on the Kahles k624i scope (I chose SKMR3) over the HORUS or Mil-Dot that you get on the Nightforce, US Optics, etc. Not to mention the US Optics is the most expensive eclipsing 3100 bucks for the 5-25 model.

Now if my scope would actually ship, I'd be a happy man.

            This was my thread.

Cant go wrong with either or, but my preference would be the US Optic line of scopes.

US Optics specializes in custom scopes. And its a CA company, down in La Brea.

Repair service is important because scopes can and do break

I own 3 NF scopes because, I'm too cheap to pop for a USO. However, I can say that I've spoken with USO executives on a few different occasions and, based solely on my personal experiences with their execs, I would not hesitate to buy one if I wasn't such a cheap SOB. If I wanted a custom optic, USO would be at the top of my list.

                        +1 for US Optics.

Top tier product and i love how their scopes are unique/easily identified.

I've had a couple conversations with USO over the phone and they were beyond helpful.

Get the US Optics if you wish to customize with some of the very specific features they offer that is not available anywhere else. Otherwise, it just comes down to preference. I've owned US Optics scopes before and they're a solid choice. I haven't owned an Nightforce scopes but have used quite a few and like them as well. Also, if you're local to L.A/OC, US Optics will take visitors at their HQ and will even take your order. FYI, they will generally give a discount on cash purchases.

There's Pros and Cons to each scope mentioned, but the Kahles and Nightforce are definitely the favorites here. You can call us at 916.670.1103 if you'd like to discuss it.

my USO LR 3.5-17 scope is a better scope than the nut behind the trigger could ever hope to use to its full potential.
