For what it's worth, an EGW rail and Seekins Rings would be the setup I would go with.

All the listed options sound great, but I really like those 2 companies (both for their products and for their Customer Service).

      Thanks for the input, Matt.

Is there any particular reason you would go with the EGW rail instead of a Seekins rail, since you favor the Seekins rings?

I'm hoping it's more than "Optics Planet is currently out of stock of the Seekins 20 MOA rail for the Remington short action."

Last week I mounted a Vortex Optics Razor HD Gen II on a Remington 700P in .308 Win using a Badger Ordnance 20MOA 306-06 base and Seekins Precision rings.

I have owned both. The Seekins has tighter tolerances, better finish, and full lugs as opposed to the EGW "bumps."

From past experience, I would call and check actual stock before ordering from OP.

Thanks for the advice on the rail based on your experience!

I'm definitely leaning toward a 20 moa Seekins Precision rail with Seekins Precision rings.

I'm curious about your experiences with them and why you like them? Seems like they have some cool features in that they offer a lot of adjustments but they look overly complex as a result. I've never had to compensate too much for out of spec holes or anything which couldn't be adjusted for with a few clicks of the scope. Again, that is just my personal experience.

I think you would be happy with that set up, and it wouldn't let you down.

XTR rings leave no marks on scope

#2 changing out another scope is super easy if need ever occurs.

#3 if you ever need to add or decrease elevation just change inserts.
