I was approved just now for a refund request I made today around 7am Pacific time...damn fast. I requested full msrp + the $15 shipping credit...$639.99 in total. My 552 was made in September, 2004. I haven't noted any thermal drift issues, but out to 300 or so it was still within minute-of-actor.

Not sure what will replaced it...I'd have no issues with another Eotech given their fast response and openness about the issues.

Sent my XPS2 back last month, forgot the exact time frame but it took about 3-4 weeks from delivery to process and send out a check. Been out of town so its probably waiting for me at home. I forgot what the total refunded amount was but it was exactly what i paid for it from Optics Planet back in 2010 plus $15 shipping.

Overall a pretty painless experience, i bought an Aimpoint PRO which was about $50 less than what the EOTech had cost.

Quite happy with the PRO so far, it didn't take much effort to get sighted in and i like the simpler reticle. The only downside is slightly less overall sight picture. But mostly i shoot paper at 50 and 100yds.

The one thing i really like is the battery life. It seemed like the CR123's in the EOTech were always dead or the reticle was flashing because it was almost dead. 30k hrs on the PRO will be nice.

I got almost $1300.00 back from EOTech, and still have not replaced it. I will probably go T2 and look at the new 6x magnifier they just came out with.

Just got back from zeroing my T2 on my SCAR 16. I like it. Time for a magnifier now.

Any news on a new EOTech design?

Or data on LCO or even Trijicon thermal drift?
