Optic advice for 357 lever rifle

aimpoint micro; if just for fun I have multiple Bushnell Trophy TRS-25 red dot sights and they work well enough. What you want to use the rifle for is most important. I doubt you will use that rifle out to a range where you will need magnification otherwise redfiled makes some cost effective products that I use on some fun guns.

Many people like a 1-4, with my eyes I need a little more. Someone asked your budget. A Burris Fullfield II 2-7x35 for around $170.00 works great. A VX-3 1.75-6x32 is awesome, for quite a bit more money.

or the Vortex Diamondback HP 2-8

For those of you who say that scopes don't belong on a lever rifle, I was entrenched in your camp about twenty years ago. I'm not going to stop shooting my .357 JM pre safety 1894 Marlin just because my vision isn't what it used to be.
Went with a Leupold VX2 1-4x20mm.
