You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life. -
TRS25 - I have four of them - you can get them for under $60 if you strike when the deals are happening, I got a couple for less than $50.
For a pistol, I grabbed a Burris FastFire III last night for $160 shipped using Jet.com 20% new customer offer and a $20 Amex promo. Turns out Primary Arms is fulfilling the order for jet.com. I'm putting it on the Glockzilla - G40 10mm Hunter.Comment

another vote here for the Bushnell TRS25. i've had mine on a 12g Mossy and then switched it to an AR. no issues with zero or anything else. over 4 years pluggin away on it...still turns on and hits the target every time"Right, then! Smoke 'em if you got 'em." ~ Jack JeebsComment

This one may be a bit out of your budget:
Original C-more. I run two of them with 6 moa dots (you can go smaller) on my AR 15 5.56 and AR 9mm 3 gun rifles and love them. They are not a tube style but a piece of round glass surrounded by a small ring of plastic. In the past, I have used them on my 10/22 and Ruger Hunter pistol. My parents both have the same C-more dots on their pistols. The C-more is tough and is/was very common for use on custom build race pistols that serious and pro shooters use. They do have a couple new versions that are smaller. I think the standard switch type is $240 but I would avoid it and go with the $300 click switch which will not move if bumped (standard switch could move if you bump it while shooting, or it could turn on if bumped while being stored, especially with a knob extension like what the PO put on my dad's gun).He who dies with the most tools/toys wins

usually, the dot for your 22 pistol is going to be different from what you have on your AR since they usually have a bit different needs and the 22 pistol can you something of less substance. you might want to try something like a Hensoldt RSA sight since they are very compact, strong, and will work well on a pistol also.Comment

I have four of them on long guns, all GTG, so long as you don't mind changing out a battery here and there over the years. If they are going on a primary self defense carbine, I think I might pony up for the higher end digital model, or if you have the bucks, the newer Holosun 503C, which I just picked up from PA as well!Comment

I'm a fan of the vortex sparc II as well, great value, there's a review of its insane durability online also.Selling lots of Pistol brass, lots of 38 and 44 mag!

I put a TRS on a 460 S&W (and not the 460's with a muzzle brake) and seemed to do a-OK. That's all the proof I need to know it'll hold up to any magnum handgun, 3.5" chamber shotgun, or braked .22LR rifle you plan to install it on. You get what you pay for, and what you lose in the price is "tracking". Sight in can be a pain, especially if you want to shoot 100 yards. But once it is dialed in, you don't touch it, and the dot will stay there.Comment

Can't beat the TRS-25 for the price.God may have made men, but Samuel Colt made them equal.
Send me pics of your: Colt Detective Special, AMT Hardballer, pre-64 Winchester Model 70. I'm looking for them.Comment

The TRS-25 is good but the dot can be a bit blurry. Also when indoors I get a red sploch in the upper left corner of it.Comment
