    Trijicon MRO users?

Seems like this is getting more bad reviews than good. Does anyone have the MRO, and can post a review, and pics?
Any actual use in the field?

It's going to be some time before we see in-depth reviews of it. Personally I'll continue buying Aimpoint T-1's due to their proven track record. They're like the Glock of red dots.

Bad reviews? where are these bad reviews at? So far mine functions as it should out the box but I'll reserve my judgement when I really run with it sometime next month when I'm free.

Seen a lot of bad reviews on Arfcom and M4Carbine. Mostly fisheyeing (probably due to the wide FOV) and glare. But, it seems like it mostly affects people who mount it far forward on the receiver (like you would with an Aimpoint) - people who mount it at the far rear of the receiver or just in front of the rear BUIS don't seem to have as much of an issue. Guessing that it's essentially an RDS with eye relief.

I ran an MRO through Warfighter Concepts Intermediate Carbine/Pistol A while back. Put about 2k rounds down range with it in some pretty crappy weather.

I would buy it over an EXPS or a PRO but not over a Micro.

I'll try to find a picture next to a Micro.

Reasons for picking the micro over the MRO?

Mostly for the fish eye effect, but I would strongly suggest shouldering a rifle with a micro also since some don't like how small the tubes are.

                  - I prefer the look of the Aimpoint (dumb reason but its a reason)
                  - I feel the illumination settings are better on the Aimpoint. Its like the MRO was either too bright or not bright enough which wasn't a big deal till i was shooting outside of 100.
                  - I feel the track record of the product consistency is better with the Aimpoint (granted it has been out longer)

When I'm shooting I don't notice any fish eye effect. If i sit there and nit pick it i can see it, but i really have to look for it. Again i don't notice it when I'm shooting.

I don't understand the FOV argument. I do if you have NODs running in conjunction with the optics because you have to look through the tube. But shooting with both eyes open isn't FOV the same? I can see just as far left/right and up/down no matter the optic.

As I said before, I think that if I were looking for an optic in the EXPS/PRO category I would have no reason to hesitate, however I wouldn't look at it if my budget was Micro price range.

Threw it on my rail for a quick comparison before I mounted it for realz:

Idk why someone would get one over an aimpoint. Aimpoint is proven. I'm a big trijicon fan, acog and accupoint, but for battery powered I don't have the funds to be a test case. Fisheye on a red dot is inexcusable imo. Might as well have magnification.

I just got an MRO yesterday. No fish eye, might have a 1.1 magnification if I look at something 2 feet away, non issue while looking at a target 10 feet away. Slight barely noticeable blue tint, non issue.

Like the bigger field of view over my Aimpoint micros.

Glass and dot appear better than my T1's/H1's.

I like it better than my Aimpoint micro's. I'll be getting 2 more.

Since you already mentioned why you like the T1 the best. Why do you like the MRO over the EXPS and the PRO?

Was hoping to get my hands on one.. But after looking into one yesterday at a LGS, everything about it I like.. The ONLY problem was the dot, wasn't a dot to me, so I ended up buying ammo..
