I lucked into one of these yesterday (LGS got a shipment in). I mounted it on a Burris PEPR mount and took it out to sight it in this morning. I'm really happy with the quality of the glass and the clarity at max (6X) magnification. This scope is definitely worth the money as an entry level action shooting (3-gun) scope.

i heard it is the exact same scope as the PA 1-6 but with lifetime warranty but no acss.

for 430 with a mount might as well just pay a little more and bump up a notch.

I really do think they are both the same scope with different reticles. They are exactly identical and people are saying the glass is good on both. I haven't had a chance to look through the PA 1-6x so I don't want to say it is definitely the same scope, but based on my research and my time with this strike eagle, It is very very likely they are the same scope. So if you are in the market I would go with whichever reticle you like better.

I give some insight on my experience with the reticle in my amazon review but keep in mind it's just my opinion and I don't think you will know what you like until you see for yourself. I ended up selling my strike eagle and might pickup the PA 1-6x scope later on since I like a dot in the middle rather than the crosshairs.

In my experience optics planet will say whatever they want to keep you on the hook. They did the same thing to me and I finally canceled the order and got it from somewhere else that had the part in stock. I will never order from them unless it's in stock. Really don't like that site, they treat customers like ****, probably because their so big. Rather give my money to a smaller company and have good service in case I need it.

My dept spent last Friday in Middleton, WI at Vortex. The demand for the Strike Eagle is far above the supply. We have a few thousand on order, and we get 20 or so every couple of weeks.

I feel your pain, I'm waiting for mine, in line with everyone else.

Please also keep in mind that every single optic that comes in the door at Vortex undergoes an inspection process that averages about 20 minutes per optic. Not 10% of the optics, not half - all. It tends to slow things down a bit.

Just got mine mounted. I expected a bit of cheapness. That's out the window.
