I ordered one from Optics Planet back in the beginning of July, I call every month and they keep saying next month, next month, well now it's Oct. and still nothing! I'm thinking of canceling the order and get something else. I read a lot of positive reviews for it, too bad I'll never know. Well, I guess patience pays off. Just got an email from Optics Planet on Thurs. saying they are finally sending mine and I should get it on the 20th. Finally! Can't wait. The final price with the discount was $296.10.

I ordered one from them a couple days ago and received an update saying order would be 4 months out on delivery. I cancelled the order.

I'm hearing/reading a lot of good things about the Strike Eagle though.

I order one and canlceled because of the wait. Not all vendors are listing it as back order.

I checked out the diamondback and those are nice. Most likely just going to be Chinese glass or something else. My crossfire is nice, I don't see a lot of difference between that and my viper pst

If you like running 1-4/6x scopes, I think it is a real great scope for the money, I'm only selling mine because this was my first time using a 1-6x and I am just more comfortable sticking to red dots for my style of use.

I think most people opt for 1-4/6x scope to get that 1x capability and being able to have that extra power if needed, but to me, and I want to emphasize that this is my opinion because other people might not feel the same way, but to me, it will never be anything close to a red dot. Yes, you can probably get on target just as quick but it will not feel like a red dot does. I found myself using this scope more for bench shooting and had very very great success using it that way, but that's just not my style, I usually shoot offhand and mostly use the bench to check my zero. I did run it off the bench with great success also, but I just prefer my red dot because it's what I'm most comfortable with.

I'll give you my brief review and personal thoughts on this optic.

Glass is very nice for the price, not as good as the XD Glass (Extra-Low Dispersion) Vortex offers in other scopes such as the Viper PST. If I had to be real picky, yes the XD Glass is nicer, but only about 15-20% give or take, but I am more than satisfied with the glass on this scope, at 6x on a nice sunny day, I was able to see all of my .223 bullet holes at 100yds on WHITE paper, not as ideal as my 20x alpen spotting scope but definitely worked. Again only my opinion, to give you guys an Idea, I'm pretty picky when it comes to buying the right gear for my firearms and I am always looking for the best I can get out of my money, I think this is an exception if your looking for a 1-6x scope and can't afford the $900+ scopes.

The scope overall feels extremely well-built from the knurled focus knob to the little low profile bump on the zoom knob to assist you in changing your zoom. Windage and Elevation adjustments have nice clean clicks. The body seems like it could take a beating. It is very close to true 1x, if your aiming inside a small room you will notice a bit of fish eye effect when you look for it, once you get a little further, about 20ft away it is true 1x from there on out.

Illumination, I would say it's not as bright as most people would want it. On a nice sunny day at the range your probably gonna be running this thing at the max setting which will definitely do the job as in, you can still see your reticle covered in red but it's not gonna be super eye catching, more so like "hey, my reticle is red". If I had to give you guys an Idea, I would say the max setting on the Strike Eagle is probably the 8-9 setting on an Aimpoint Micro H-1. With that being said, I never found myself using the illumination much anyways. Especially outdoors, the etched reticle was more then visible.

Alright I didn't mean to write an Essay, I find myself doing that a lot ever since I joined the forum, but I hope I helped someone out.. To end this super long post... some gun p0rn.. Just picked up these two pistols right when I turned 21, at the same time... ohhh I'm a bad boy.

100 yard 7 shot group with the Strike Eagle, aimed right at the center of the green target with a 50yd zero leaving me about 2 inches high, first two shots are the ones at the very top right next to each other, the last 5 at the bottom were shot consecutively so that is my real grouping, your just going to have to trust me . I stopped after those 5 shots because I didn't want to waste my precious match ammo that I bought for the first time ever. In my review I was referring to this target as being able to see these bullet holes at 6x at 100 yds

One of those was mine(now sold). It's a great optic. I really like the reticle, it's super easy to pick up. The only reason I sold mine was I won a vortex razor in a raffle. I almost kept it for my other rifle but I figured one 1-6 setup was enough for me.

In my experience optics planet will say whatever they want to keep you on the hook. They did the same thing to me and I finally canceled the order and got it from somewhere else that had the part in stock. I will never order from them unless it's in stock. Really don't like that site, they treat customers like ****, probably because their so big. Rather give my money to a smaller company and have good service in case I need it.

Btw, check amazon now and then, I just saw some for 329 yesterday and they went out of stock later on that night. I actually got mine on amazon. It is available right now for 429 prime but don't get it for that price it shouldn't be too hard to find one for 329 just keep checking.

i heard it is the exact same scope as the PA 1-6 but with lifetime warranty but no acss.

for 430 with a mount might as well just pay a little more and bump up a notch.

I just picked up this scope local yesterday , the glass is so nice for the price, but elite arms in manteca has them in stock and they are doing a no sales tax weekend , so it was a nice win
