The problem usually happens due to tritium leaking out oa a sealed globe. Could happen for a variety of reasons , but companies worth dealing with realize the importance of happy customers and the relationship to return business.
Someone said to buy from Optics Planet - possibly they have had good luck with them, but I, like many others have been strung along with failed promises of deliveries or in stock items or taking money and then offering other items instead of what is ordered.
The basic mess-around I have incurred with Optics Planet has sent me to other vendors for my optics purchases (Primary Arms, SWFA, and even Cabelas are at least true to their word.

      TruGlo TFO = thumbs down

After back and forth emails with TruGlo. They agreed that if I was just sending the front sight back, they will waive the $12.50 fee but I'm still going with the I Dots.

I have TruGlo TFO lamps on my M&P Shield for almost two years now, 1000+ rounds fired and they still light up as well as they initially did when first installed. Best light for the buck.

If you are going with something else let me know if you're interested in selling the take-off TruGlos.

Sorry, you misread, I said "TruGlo" as a company is known for cheap Chinese crap. I'd prefer to not take chances on a minority of supposed real sights when they are an airsoft level company. When it comes to firearms, you get what you pay for.

Another positive experience. Four sets and no complaints.

Maybe mine was a fluke. Who knows. I sent the front back to TruGlo and they said they will replace it for free and waive the $12.50 charge. Cost me postage like $3 to ship it to them.

I've had TFO's on my XD for years. Only issue I had was my "failure to read the instructions" - I soaked them in solvent when cleaning the slide. Entirely my fault. I liked them so much I went with TFOs when I got my XDs (+1 for James the XD Man install!)

TFX is the new hotness, why are people still buying TFOs ? Basically they took TFO and gave them ultra protection.

I have 4 sets of the TFOs, thousands of rounds with them and tons of carry time. Never a problem with any of them. Every mfg has a bad batch once in awhile and some make it to retail. Sorry you got a bad one, but doesn't mean much.
