Good idea for possibly something else other than what I want-so I have to constantly unscrew and eventually strip out a punk wood panel to get to my hidden belongings-say a set of pistols that I shoot once or so a month? Furniture not bolted down or heavy enough so an easy walk out? Your basic concept of furniture hidden valuables is on the right track but not on these particular side tables and certainly not hidden behind a screwed down board. Keep thinking deeper into the process that you have started as I am on your positive/critical side and hope you will create a real workable hidden furniture safe.

I personally would add, that I have some cheap ugly furniture, but I have taste, just not the pocketbook to afford my tastes. Things are replaced or built as I have time and money.

I would NOT start a furniture project with a pallet you found on the side of the road.

And screwed on panel? that looks really convenient. And it's a small lightweight piece. What happens when it gets thrown across the room? would it break and open?

Well.....looking at it, I doubt that anyone would steal it.

The visible screws pretty much invite investigation. The table appears light weight, so the first thing would be to shake the table and hear something's inside. Then smash the table to get at it.

Seriously, at some point in your life, you will stop calling stuff like this "furniture".

Safe hidden drawer furniture

Hideaway valuables inside of furniture.

This gives extra storage space for valuables. Hide in plain sight; no one knows it’s there. I had a couple of close friends see this furniture for years, and when I told them they were shocked, completely surprised. They said they never realized there was hidden safe right in front of them all this time.

Custom made, extremely strong. Paint them whatever color you would like. They are stained dark now.

24 inches x 24 inches x 36 inches High. You can set items, lamps, knickknacks, TV, stereo, on top and also in the center.

2 hidden drawers; 1 top and 1 at the bottom.

Try doing this (hide the side drawers by making them look like the front) with a magnetic lock:

You might want to look into rare earth magnets and lose the screws.

I don't know about keeping valuables in a wooden side table either, I mean it's not exactly very fireproof unfortunately.

not a bad idea for small amount of valuables and a very small budget. if u have much of either I would get a safe.
