Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Replace your battery every 2-3 years. Check for any signs of corrosion and if there is some that would be the time to switch out the locking mech.

Either way the electronics will eventually fail whether it is an actual component on some board or the motor or the mechanicals connected to the motor.

Dial is mechanically much simpler and more robust.

That looks pretty cool. Expensive at $264 (pre-order price), but cool. It even has bluetooth connectivity. Here's more info:

i have to keep the battery out of one of my electronic lock safes because from day one it would kill a battery in about a week.

Obama ended the gun control debate when he decided to arm the Syrian rebels with fully automatic machine guns and rocket launchers. He proved people need guns to protect themselves from tyranny. Did he give the rebels background checks before giving them real assault weapons?

I am interested in this and my safe manufacturer/vender will do it for $175. What I really want to know, is there a back-door way for LE or a Govt agency to easily bypass any lock? I read about situations where the Govt agency comes to a house and immediately gets access to the safe, I'd like to know if that only happens with an electronic lock or do they have Safe-Crackers on staff?

I only use electronic for the small bedside pistol safe. Mechanical for the big safe that isn't the one I'd be running to in a seconds count emergency.

Have my safe up with a Mechanical push button system and the master key is anchored to the wall in a key lock box.
My opinion on the CA Government:
