you can always buy the lock and then change your mind and ask for a refund before you leave the gunshop. IIRC the law just says you have to have bought a new and approved lock within 30 days of the purchace... nuten bout returning it LOL

I have heard you have to walk out of the gunshop with the lock. And I have seen posted in one or two gunshops that you cant return the lock.

Do you have to also supply a receipt for a safe along with the affidavit?

No receipt. You just have to know your safe manufacturer. No model required either. On the gun lock, Turners will make you buy a gun lock even though your gun came with it, at least on a PPT.

Gun lock prices at gun stores are like buying a coke at Del Taco. Thats ther bread and butter. I have seen gun store sell free gun locks that are given to you free from the police station. I quite asking.

about a $1.50 is how much over cost and that covers shipping for the locks.

Just buy a reciept book and use one lock. Date the receipt within 30 days.
