    Show Me Your Safes

OK, let's see your safes... how about a picture thread of your safes, one picture of it closed, and if you are willing, one of it open... (empty or full, however you like)

Mine is currently on order and expected in the next 6 weeks, but while I wait, I thought it would be fun to see what others have done to protect their firearms, ammunition and other important items.

Mine is a basic black safe, gold pin striping around the edge of the door, ceramic lined, holds 16 long guns and has shelving to accommodate many handguns and plenty of ammo. I will be installing it in an interior hallway tucked in under a cutout under my staircase, but fully in view in the hall only. It is 24x36x72

    Thanks!

"The less people know about it, the more secure it is" is part of the security of safes.

This one is mine, it barely squeezed in my garage.

REALLY old pic - of my Sentry 14-gun safe, with me standing next to it for a size comparison.

Wow, I just noticed that I was still wearing my old mp3.com badge in that picture! By the way, that - including the H&K t-shirt - is how I used to dress going to work, just to piss off the liberals.

This has been posted before... They say you can't buy a safe too large, but I've been thinking I should have got one size smaller. At anyrate, it only hurts (financially) once.

You seriously keep a revolver in the fridge? I thought about keeping a gun in mine, but I figured condensation and rust would be issues.

I only keep my stainless steel guns in there - the one shown is a Smith 629-1.

Interesting. How long have you been keeping it in there, and do you ever take it apart to check for rust?

I'm just wondering if all of it is stainless, including the springs and small bits. I may be forced to consider a revolver, if you've been storing yours for a lengthy period without incident.

At night, I move it to the Furby box. When it gets cold, I put it in the toaster.
