Surefire tape switch tailcap

I thought Surefire only made tape switch caps for the scout lights. I have a scout with a click tailcap and wanted a tape switch cap. But this tape switch cap does not thread on. I can just start it on and it activates but its not seated.

Am I doing something wrong? Or is this the wrong part?

are you sure it's real? only reason I'm asking is because it looks part black part fde. I've never seen one mixed like that.

I’m not sure. The plastic cap with leash looks correct. The tip is more dark silver just like the plug.

Sure Fire has some of the best customer service give them a call and email them a picture and They will tell you what you need to know

Joelogic, There's IIRC there is a old and new style pressure pad only Scout tail cap as well as a dual switch cap.

Surefire responded.

"That old UE tail cap will not thread onto any scout light bodies from the last eight years. Current caps are backwards compatible."
