I was out once I saw that each person had to call in on the same day to order. You walk into a deal at X price but half the people don't do their part and you're stuck paying 5 points more. No bueno. And I can't afford the size I want right now, especially once you add features, basically doubled the price.

I’m going to need a new (bigger) Sturdy Safe (to replace my current Sturdy Safe), but I won’t need it for about 4-6 months. If the group buy is still going at that point, I’m in.

Unfortunately we missed the deadline. I had no idea there was a deadline, nor did I know how close we were to the deadline when I first posted this!!!

They do make great safes.... in my experience if you order on the phone you can get a 5% or so discount compared to their online prices.

I recently went all in on one of the ultra high end "house brand" safes at my LGS. Even with literally ALL of the bells and whistles, such as heavy 18 gauge industrial steel, solar powered stick on interior lighting, illuminated keypad, 1/4 drywall fireguard interior, and white glove delivery, it came in at several hundred dollars under the prices of the Sturdy Safes being discussed here.

But I might still be in for a group buy of one of these Sturdy Safes if the quality is comparable (or preferably better if possible) to the one I discussed above.
