It's a fun shoot, I personally drive around 150 miles round trip to make this shoot from where I live and I think it's worth it. Many people show up pretty early, around 7-8AM and leave around before noon, but I tend to stay past noon myself by getting there around 9AM, there's no set time people really show up and leave whenever they want, but it is fun shooting with many fellow C&R enthusiasts, and there definitely is a lot of gun sharing of trying guns that we ourselves do not own, and many good questions and answers there regarding particular firearms after shooting them a few times.

We would love to have you come join us sometime. We really do have a lot fun shooting and BSing and seeing what everyone brought.

That is a long road trip though, is it four hours each way? Perhaps you and your wife could make a weekend trip out of it. You could drive in on Saturday, spend the night and be close by for our Sunday shoot. Not far away is Victoria Gardens where she could spend the day shopping while you shoot or she could join us too. Hopefully you can make it out one of these times.

I'm 27. Is that young still? Lol

Great seeing everyone today! Shot a lot of rifles for the first time and got a lot of rifles zeroed or at least figured out poi on the non adjustable stuff.

Got to shoot some pistols I never thought I'd shoot either today.

            Thanks for the great time!

A couple of guys brought their young sons today and there were at least a half dozen men and women in their early twenties.

There's no judgement in our group. We're there to share the experience, knowledge, and the love of the sport. Also a great way to network for parts, guns, work, whatever. We have a great group. Look forward to seeing you guys next month.

i would say it is worth it at least ONE time . Pick a time when the weather will be nice for sure.
I am sure if it was me 110 miles away i would do it . nothing like it.If you can make one of these pm one of the regulars and we will go out of our way to make it as easy and fun as possible.

Hey Capy, I'm right off the freeway at about the half way mark for you, we could carpool sometime. The Mosin volley made the trip worthwhile for me :-)

Sounds good guys, I'll try to make it for March or April. Grendl, carpooling would be smart, gas is going back up in price.

Definitely make it Capy, you won't be disappointed. If there's something odd you want to shoot, one of us probably has it. We'll be out there next month for sure. We'll bring some of the semi autos, as well as a few bolt guns, and maybe the big Savage again too. Gotta light a fire under it and get busy doing some more reloading. Shooters of all ages are absolutely welcome! If you are a fan of c&r guns, you're hurting yourself not coming out to play!

Knucklehead, you need to be on me about loading 30-06 or I'll never do it, lol

I'd be throwing stones in a glass house man. I've got brass everywhere in various states of being processed, but I'm not processing or loading anything. Sat around on my arse all last weekend. I finally have bullets again so I've really got no excuses. Gonna load up some food for the ljungman, see how it likes handloads. Got an absolute TON of .308 to do, and I think i'll load up some carcano or jap stuff too. Sounds pretty ambitious though, we'll see. Get on it and whip up a little -06 so you can take out your garand and play.
