My son and I found this at J+G in Granite Bay. Dates from around 1921 and is in 7.63 Mauser. The blueing, straw? is worn from the edges, but overall its in nice shape. Does anyone know if its legal to shoot it with a stock in California, or would it be considered an SBR?

Nearly everything is illegal in the PRC. But to answer your question, yes that would be a big no-no.

I believe it is a Bolo, short barrel, post war German. I'll have it and some ammo at Ian's next C+R meet so everyone can try it.
They had another one in 45ACP that was a monster, 1/2 again as big as this one.
