Those rubber butt pads never fit perfectly, but man oh man, what a difference it makes shooting the M44. The pads I bought looks like the one you have. The holes in them don't go all the way through, thus making it more solid and not as cushioned as I wanted. I just drilled all the way through each hole.

I think all my M44's are import marked. But I'm not sure about my M38's I'll have to check. Most Mosins I have ever seen have the import mark.
