Anyone interested in buying a Boyd's stock It's available now
Yeah, I reparked it. When I got it, it was dull silver, with park only in the engraving and deep corners. I was building a shooter, so it's reparked and looks brand new.

Yeah I was thinking that Just a wild guess I suppose.

Since I got my Overton stock from a nice person on this site I still have a like new Boyd's stock front & rear handguards for sale.

Waiting on CMP is a PITA but ill stop at 2 Garands. Their forums have lots people selling trAding to get an all matching gun. But happy with my one .

Too bad Dupage is oos Im sure theres lots that would like to get one. But my order with CMP is in and that's it.

I thought it was pretty cool to see the '42 & '44 with the different color in parkerizing. Seen one it looked bronze, started paying more attention to Garands since. Maybe others will share the different shades of parks on these rifles

I have a chrome 03 due tomorrow. It was a bit of a PITA dealing with Dupage....called to ask what was going on with my order...I got some guy a bit rude at that. I didn't need to hear a lecture about stupid Californians electing idiots...I ended up having to email my C&R after the fact. A duh on my part. Zero communication. So I think they are limited on people skills as opposed to computer skills. We'll see what shows up.

Not meaning to heist the thread, just sharing my Dupage experience. The chrome 1903's were parade rifles, not deactivated. Apparently low numbered.
I'll start another thread with that one....

Well they ship fast. One day after faxing my COE/03 I received a Fed Ex shipment notification. Should be here this week. They are super fast and they were nice over the phone. I'd order from them again.

I'm no doubt happy with the 03 I got today! I will certainly order from Dupage again....maybe I'll just avoid the phone.

Sigh. I put my order in with the CMP on June 4th (Yes, the 70th Anniversary of D-Day )

I know its worth the wait, but....

I've been disappointed with the CMP. My first order a couple years ago went fantastic, I put in my second order, maybe around April and due to an annoying ordeal with my credit card company my original that was sent to the CMP was cancelled and I was sent a new one. I probably spent 2 weeks trying to get a hold of the CMP through phones and email to give them my new card and I still can't get ahold of them. I've tried talking to about 2 or 3 different people, no one answers the phone. It isn't the waiting, it is just like they don't want my money.

CMP rifles are definitely worth the wait. They are just a pain in the butt to try to talk to.

That's awesome. What a great day to do so.

I was at Omaha beach that same day. Very cool.
