I think it would take longer to have the rifle in your hands through CMP, so if you're impatient would be why not I guess.

Haven't seen one, but have heard good thing about'em.

Just curious, but what hoops have you concerned? Especially when compared to the hoops you'd have to go thru to get one of the one's linked in the OP, here in California?

paper work and the Waite, also i like to see what i am getting. My friend got 2 from Dupage for 650 each and i got one. I only wanted one. The CMP is a great deal also.

These are most likely Korean not CMP, how could Dupage sell them for less than CMP unless they purchased below Rack Grade rifles. I have collected a dozen CMP Garands and they were always better than advertised, see them at Gun Shows for 1K and up.

I am not a citizen so the CFO isn't an option. I got one from dupage last year and it is very nice 1944 dated.

The Dupage i got last year was a very nice M1. Their walnut stocks are custom ordered from Boyds. Had a 52 H&R barrel. perfect metal and fired like a champ. Get one.

No import markings - not Korean, and probably Service Grade.

And if they are gettin'em from the CMP as wood-less, for, say $250/pop in bulk to offset a deal on stocks to the CMP?

They can stock'em w/ their own wood and sell'em at that price... and still make a shiny Nickel.

Capitalism, by it's nature... is a win/win.

I purchased two M1s through CMP last year, both service grades for a bit more than what Dupage is selling their now for, but one had TE/ME number of 1+/2+, and the other was 1+/1+. I requested 1+/1+ and I believe I got what I wanted. Since I already had my 03 FFL, all it took was live scan submission, notary (first order only), and filling out the order form. The three-month wait was a lot harder than the paperwork, but well-worth it.
