    Auction link question

Are we allowed to post a link to an "active" Auction on CalGuns?

Just want to be sure before I do. I once made the mistake of posting an active auction link on the Spanish Handgun forum and got chewed out by numerous members for NOT following ALL the rules of their forum, etc, etc. I just wanted to help them out the auction had nothing to do with me. I tried to point out that I belonged to over 75 forums and I couldn't remember all the rules.

Anyway if you are on the Proxibid email list you have the link if not there is one auction with a pile of C&R's and militaria in So Cal.

Just checkin before I post the link info.

    There's even a S&W M651 in the auction also!

I say go ahead! - but, I have zero authority whatsoever

I think some people get ticked off if you post links to your own gun broker auctions, frankly I think it's great to know when a fellow Calguns collector is selling, and I would want to know who was selling and what -

Ok I'll post the info as I have nothing to do any of the items up for sale and time is short. Hopefully the link works. This will be a live auction on Sat AM but you can see where things are right now. I've scored several items doing these live auctions on Proxibid. Their non roster handguns are listed as PPT's so you have to go in person to do the paperwork but you can still bid on them from home if you signup with Proxibid. They won't ship PPT's to your 01 FFL for transfer.

The S&W M651 is the first one I've seen up for sale for quite awhile.

Again, there is a LARGE number of C&R firearms and militaria in this auction just wanted to give you guys a fighting chance to get something you might be looking for!

Ok so now I'll run fer cover!

Antique and modern longguns & handguns; U.S. & European military rifles, handguns, knives, & bayonets; collectible fixed blade & folding knives; vintage militaria, helmets, webgear; box lots; etc.

I'd rather you try to sell it here than GB. Post in the Exchange section if you're selling

If you don't sell it, then post it to GB
March 29- April 5, 2019- The Million Mag March. Thank you, Judge Benitez and all the vendors

Not me I'm not involved with any of the items for sale. I have nothing to do with this auction other that trying to get the word out there on CalGuns there are some "interesting" things out there especially if you are in So Cal.

I've sold on GB in the past but my last 4-5 sales have been to Cal gunners, trying to keep it in the family!

Thanks OP, nice and interesting stuff. Gotta see what they really sell for, some are a bargain right now, but still 1&1/2 days left.

The shop charges a lower premium for in person purchases than on the web

They usually have a good mix of stuff

                OP
You could have posted a link to the auction companies web site.
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
                (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

I'll do ya one better here is Proxibids link, signup and you can pick and choose the auctions you are interested in for email notifications. They have access to auctions all over the place. Buyers Premiums vary from auction to auction so be aware of that when bidding.

Buy and sell guns & military artifacts with Proxibid online auctions or find auctions near you today.

Pretty cool. Can't tell if some of those bolts are polished or if it's just the high res camerawork.

                      Bolts on what?

Good to see my (not the one on the auction) H&R 999 with 4 bbl has become desirable at $425

Can you believe a CAI Garand at $550? At least they give an accurate description. Be interesting to see where THAT goes!

That Stevens Ranger is a good deal, I've got an 87A that I shoot occasionally. Interesting rifle, if it's like my Stevens 87A it's single shot if you push the bolt handle in, if you pull it out it's semiauto!

I like to use these auctions to kinda get a value on items in my collection. That is when I'm not bidding!

Now if you want a Colt Systema M1927 Argentine type 1911 Cabelas, Reno has one for $1199, it's parked, original finish was blued I believe and it's been there since early May.

We already have the only reasonable Gun Control we need, It's called the Second Amendment and it's the government it controls.

Good people, good auctions. Don't expect any bargains. I much prefer them to Lil Jon auctions.

There is a lot of cool stuff there.

Can someone explain the "Buyer's Premium is 17.5%." to me? Does that mean you have to pay an extra 17.5% above what the item sells for?

That seems high to me, is that the normal going rate for auctions?

Yes the "Buyers Premium" is tacked on to the hammer price then add shipping. The premium varies between auction houses, so when you look at the catalog on the website be sure to review the "Terms of the Auction".
