Nothing really wrong, just the first time I looked at it I didn't realize the $22 was just for renewal in a year. As others have stated, the LiveScan people will collect the money. Try to see if a law enforcement agency near you can do it.Comment

Nothing major is wrong. The Live Scan fees they listed ($54 & $19) have changed. My recollection is one of them went down.
Nothing to worry about. When you go to the Live Scan location and they plug in the ORI number and level of service on the form it will tell them what the fees are.
Remember they also charge a Live Scan operator fee. Like I said my total was either $91 or $96 dollars.

Had my Livescan appt today, cost was $86.00, showed them my filled out COE as well to try an alleviate any questions. Apparently it was good to go, they gave me the original and a copy of my BCIA as well as a reciept. The copy and the COE go out tomorrow in the mail and the wait begins."Ride, shoot straight and speak the truth"...Jeff CooperComment

OK now another question, does the COE permit me to buy a firearm and forgo the 10 day wait since, theoretically, I have passed a fingerprint and background check in obtaining the COE? Does this apply only to C&R handguns? I am a bit confused and my FFL 01 here just laughs at me and tells me I wasted 100 bucks just to give them my fingerprints. I also possess a C&R license and understand that I needed the COE in order to continue purchasing C&R long guns after 1 Jan 2014 but I thought another benefit was the privledge of bypassing the 10 day wait, still paying the DROS though, on non C&R longguns and all handguns....please correct me."Ride, shoot straight and speak the truth"...Jeff CooperComment

FFL03 + COE = no 10 day wait on C&R firearms only. Whether or not your FFL01 will honor that remains to be seen, many dealers don't but the better educated ones do.
You still have to have the 10 day wait on any non C&R guns although that MIGHT change once the Silvester v Harris ruling goes into effect, if it ever goes into effect.NRA Certified Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor, Shotgun Instructor and Range Safety Officer

DoJ also has a Livescan list that includes prices the Livescan operator charges (may or may not be entirely accurate).

I cant remember what I paid but it was below $130 12 months ago. I did it at the Riverside Police Dept, at the time the Livescan operator was charging less than other people. $55 was it? Hmm.
People get confused, its $19 PLUS other charges, you are not searching to beat $19 as the total charge. You really dont know whats the final until you do it.
After the Livescan which was submitted to DOJ by the PD, my COE came in exactly seven days, though I was told to budget 30-60 days. Depends on the DOJ work load. I just sent my $22 renewal and the check was cashed in like 24 hours lol someone sure needs money bad! I was on my way out the country at the time, i hope it arrived at home.
