C&R Hi Powers at AIM

Bladewurk, this turned out beautiful! Do you mind sharing where cerakote was done and how much?

Not gonna do it to mine, but curious - may use it for another gun.

Here is my C&R one that I was able to grab from AIM before they ran out. Was hoping for brown wooden grips, but I guess these will do.

It is the top one, next to its Hungarian cousin. Very good shape, considering it is a 60+ years old service gun. Bore is shiny, all numbers match.

Love the internal extractor and the dimple on the front of the slide

Unfortunate HP-style idiot mark (goes upward, opposite of 1911 one), some Belgian got sloppy...

Trigger is gritty, but i will probably leave the magazine disconnect alone. The FEG one is my range gun, and mag disconnect is removed on it, so trigger is nice and smooth.

Overall - very happy with AIM and the HP!

Going to take it to the range next week to see how we do together. Noticed a difference in the sight picture between the two - Hungarian FEG has a narrower opening int the rear sight, combined with thicker front sight, and no dots. Original Belgian has dots, thinner front sight and a wider opening in the rear.
Going to have to bring them both to see the difference.

I might cerakote mine too since it's not rare or uniquely marked, did you go armor or graphite?

I got those Hogues for $24.99 with a coupon ,
and the Cerakote is Graphite Black from FS Defense.
He was $160 without disassembly/reassembly.
